Its
a 35 minute ferry ride from downtown Seattle - the ferry drops you off
about 4 blocks from Pike Place Market, and just one block from Fado
- the Irish Pub.
This is handy as Fado is on the edge of Pioneer Square - the cool place to go in Seattle if you don't mind people asking you for money... Fado also shows rugby matches live (i.e. at 7:00am Seattle time). This can be a bad thing.

Here's a view out of Dave's office window (the front bedroom). That's a tennis court in the foreground which is used hardly at all, but behind it is a swimming pool. Great in the summer...
Just past that far house where all the trees are is a small path that leads down to the "main road". The main road has a speed limit of 20mph, just to give you an idea of the seething metropolis that Winslow is. Anyway - enough waffling - suffice to say that we love living here, and unlike our time in Bellevue, we aren't looking to leave as soon as possible!

And this is the Pleasant Beach restaurant. New owners and fabulous food. Wine is half price on Tuesday's and if you happen to be on Bainbridge Island at some point, its worth staying to have a meal there. Check out those Chicken Satay Skewers to start with...!
