The King 5 camera - what you can see

You are in: Seattle -> Right Now -> The King 5 Camera

The map in the middle is the main bit of Seattle. The red star is where the camera is (roughly!) on Queen Anne hill, where you can get a spectacular panorama of Seattle. The camera points in various directions throughout the day - and these pictures should help you decide where its pointing, and maybe even allow you identify some landmarks...

This is the view looking across Gasworks Park -to the North East of the Camera. The park is the green bit sticking out into the lake. (Lake Union)

This is Alki Point - the end of Alki Beach, and is the view to the West or maybe West-South-West from the camera.

This is downtown Seattle, and the Needle. This view is South East from the camera. Its often zoomed in though so you see just "downtown" where all the skyscrapers are.

This is Downtown. The tallest building (in the background) is the Seafirst Tower - now owned by Bank of America. The building on the right with the pointy roof is the Washington Mutual Tower.

All the webcam images are from King5 - www.king5.com - a local TV station. The map is from Mapquest - www.mapquest.com - which gives me driving directions from wherever I am to wherever I want to go. Its spot on accurate and incredibly useful. If you are in America I would highly recommend it, and I can't wait for them to get over to Europe.
