building in the distance is our Hotel. Well, resort really - made up of
three separate hotels, the El Cid mega resort sells itself on all
inclusive deals and huge swimming pools. And timeshare (there was a lot of
this...) This was taken from the Old Town.

here, sitting on the balcony of our grade A room, he's had a drink or
two... (Actually, this was the night of the long tequilas...) The sound of
the Pacific Ocean crashing on the beach about 50 feet away and the clear
sky, great sunsets and all that. Fab!
And
here's the pool. It goes under the whole hotel and as such is huge. This
artificial waterfall is the centre-piece, and there were about 10 of us
staying in the whole hotel to enjoy it. It would have been hell in high
season, but at the time we went (end November) it was great. The drinks
were expensive in the hotel...
